Low-Cost GNSS Simulators With Wireless Clock Synchronization for Indoor Positioning

In regions where global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) signals are unavailable, such as underground areas and tunnels, GNSS simulators can be deployed for transmitting simulated signals. Then, a receiver in the simulator coverage outputs position based on received (e.g., Global Positioning System (GPS) L1 this study) transmitted by corresponding simulator. This approach provides periodic updates to users while deploying small number of without modifying hardware software user receivers. However, clock should synchronized generate almost identical live-sky signals, which is necessary seamless indoor outdoor positioning handover. The conventional synchronization method wired connection between each an antenna causes practical difficulty increases cost simulators. study proposes wireless private time server delay calibration.
